Kardo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Kardo is a loyalty card wallet made by Bytefabrika. In short: we don't collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

Your cards

The cards you add (store name, card number, barcode type, color and notes) are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for your Apple Account, Apple syncs them through your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. We can't see or access that data.

Camera

Kardo uses the camera only to read a card's barcode while the scanner is open. Images are not saved or sent anywhere.

Backups

A backup is a file that you create and save yourself, for example in iCloud Drive. It contains your card numbers in plain text, so keep it somewhere private.

Shared cards

When you share a card, Kardo creates a link to kardo.bytefabrika.io. The card itself is in the part of the link after “#”, which browsers do not send to the server, so the card never reaches us. Anyone you send the link to can see the card.

Apple Wallet

Apple requires Wallet passes to be signed by the app maker. When you tap “Add to Apple Wallet”, Kardo sends that one card (store name, card number, barcode type and color) to kardo.bytefabrika.io, which signs the pass and sends it straight back. The card is not stored or logged. After that, the pass lives in your Wallet like any other.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service. We don't use cookies or analytics.

Support form

When you send the support form, your message, the topic and the email address you give (if any) are emailed to us so we can answer. They are not stored on the website. To keep out spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending it without cookies or puzzles.
